Life as a transgender person.
Just like every other aspect of our identities. Aspects of identity include things like being
-
a member of our birth family
-
a second child in birth order
-
a student
-
a parent
-
a member of a team
-
an owner
-
a member in a band
All these are things we might identify with as a part of our identity. Identifying as a transgender person isn't much different. Anyone can explore personal identity by write as many answers to the question, "Who am I?" You might start with I'm a student, I'm a flute player, I'm a swimmer, I'm a D and D master, I'm a soccer player, I'm a rock climber, I'm a sex worker, I'm a pastor, I'm a server, I'm a church goer, I'm. . . . . . the list can be endless. Yet, notice that all of these examples are about things that people DO.
